Why cant i get a same day flight from the uk to odessa ukraine ?

i have tried to book a flight from manchester uk to odessa ukraine,but no airline offers a same day flight plus they all have over night stopovers why ? i flew in august on same day.i am going again in april 2011,am i too early trying to book now ?
