How do you do a tie-dye design like this one?

right, the way i learned at school is, get a rubbed band,and tightly make knots in it, make sure you rapp it rough the material nice and tight. then, soak it in whatever dye you want to use, for about 24 hours. .dye it .and then take of the rubber bands !
