Why do people give a thumbs down to perfectly good answers?

Sometimes people just do not want to hear it ,read it, or admit the truth sometimes. I have seen perfect answers that have a thumbs down when it should have been thumbs up. I would rather hear the truth no matter what it is, then to disregard a very good answer.
