I need advice on my Iguana and training please...?

ok, Ive asked something like this before, but ok, I have an Iguana, hes a juvie, I have had him for about 4 months, we think hes prob no more than 5-6mths old, so I realize that the whole "time factor" will still be needed to taken into thought. however he still acts wierd, more odd than previous Iguanas I have helped raise..I mean theres two sides of him, this is how it plays out: I go to take him out of his cage, he runs, and dodges, and threatens, and tries to whip..when I finally catch him hes cool..he'll chill on my shoulder or whatever no problems, no running away no jumping (well, not often...sometime he will but all do) He'll even walk around my shoulder, or climp on my head...I go to put him back in his cage and I'll extend my hand out...not holding him him just perched, and I'll be like "ok, lets go" and if he does get off or i kinda push him to get off...all of a sudden hes back to Mr Hyde again, any similer experiances? is it truley just time needed or any tips?
